At Kalai Masala we aim to deliver freshly packed, high-quality spices. Our refund and return policy lasts 7 days from the date of delivery. If 7 days have passed since you received your order, we cannot offer a refund, return, or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must:
Be unused
Be in the same condition you received it
Be in the original packaging
Include a valid receipt or proof of purchase
Due to the nature of our products, the following cannot be returned:
Opened or used masala packs
Products with broken or tampered packaging
Perishable items and freshly packed spices once opened
Sale items, discounted items, and custom/bulk orders
If you receive a damaged, leaking, or incorrect product, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with:
Your Order ID
Clear photos of the product and its packaging
Your contact details
We will review and arrange a replacement or a refund as appropriate.
Partial refunds may be granted in certain situations, for example:
The item shows obvious signs of use
The item is not in its original condition or missing parts (not due to our error)
The item is returned after the 7-day window
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you by email or phone about the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, your refund will be processed within 3–7 business days and credited to your original method of payment or another agreed method.

We only replace items if they are defective, damaged, or incorrect. To request an exchange, contact us at mail@kalaimasala.com or +91-9677199367 and we’ll guide you through the process.
If your return is approved:

Customers are responsible for paying return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error (e.g., wrong or damaged item).
Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping may be deducted from the refund.
For high-value orders we recommend using a tracked courier and purchasing shipping insurance. We do not guarantee receipt of returned items that are not trackable.
If the item was marked as a gift at purchase and shipped directly to you, you will receive a gift credit for the value of your return. If the gift was not marked when purchased, refunds will be sent to the original purchaser.
